The PAWS Reading Program is an opportunity for elementary-age students to come to PAWS and read to cats. Reading to cats serves to socialize the cats and provide a non-threatening reading environment for kids to develop their literary skills. The program originated as a partnership with Park Forest Elementary school but will now be open to the community every first and third Tuesday of the month. It will be held from 6:30 to 7:30pm at PAWS, and all students interested in participating must sign up ahead of time by emailing Karen (firstname.lastname@example.org). Students must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. One adult may supervise a maximum of 2 children.
Please print out and bring the Reading Program Waiver with you for your scheduled date.
