Welcome to PAWS

Centre County PAWS was established in 1980. For over 30 years we have been committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs, educating citizens on responsible pet ownership, providing spay/neuter assistance, and ending pet overpopulation. We are a noneuthanasia, member supported, volunteer enabled organization dedicated to the Promotion of Animal Welfare and Safety.

Volunteer Training

  • Cat Care Training covers the basics of the cat side of PAWS including feeding and spending time with the cats, cleaning cages, and doing dishes and laundry. Floor Volunteer Training covers skills on how to volunteer when PAWS is open to the public, helping people find their perfect cat! More Info and Training Dates

  • Five Dollar Felines was so successful in 2012 that Centre County PAWS is continuing our celebration of adoptable felines by extending our $5 Felines promotion until the end of December 2013! Cats one year and older have an adoption fee of just $5! More Information

  • Want to earn your wings? Become a Guardian Angel for a PAWS adoptable. A Guardian Angel selects a PAWS adoptable and sponsors their adoption fee. When the forever family is found for an adoptable in the Guardian Angel program, the adoption fee is waived since it is covered by their Angel. More Information
