A New Home for PAWS

Through passion and compassion, the dedicated volunteers of Centre County PAWS have been working for over 28 years to find homes for homeless animals and change the region's attitudes toward pets and pet ownership. PAWS helps more than 400 cats and dogs find loving, lifetime homes in the Centre Region each year. PAWS maintains a noneuthanasia animal shelter, administers a spay/neuter assistance program, an educational outreach program and emergency medical aid funding.

New PAWS FacilityIn 2005 PAWS launched an ambitious campaign to raise funds for a new facility and in 2006 broke ground on the new facility. We moved into our superb new 13,000+ square foot Adoption and Education Center in September 2007. The Center is located at 1401 Trout Road in State College.

New PAWS FacilityTo date, more than $1.4 million has been raised for the project, but we are not there yet. PAWS needs your help. The abandoned, sick, homeless, and neglected animals that need your help can't ask for themselves – so we are asking for them. Please consider being a part of the solution.
