:: Dog Volunteer Training Dates...
March 14, Sunday at 5pm; March 24, Wednesday at 6pm; April 11, Sunday at 5pm; April 21, Wednesday at 6pm; May 9, Sunday at 5pm; May 19, Wednesday at 6pm. If you are interested in learning the basics of volunteering on the dog side, please email
dogvolunteertraining@centrecountypaws.org. We are in dire need for more serious volunteers who can help clean kennels and walk dogs on morning and evening shifts. Please consider spending a few hours each week with these dogs. Without consistent, regular volunteers PAWS is limited as to how many animals we can help!

Are you interested in becoming a PAWS Volunteer but aren't quite sure what types of volunteer opportunities are available? Do you want to learn more about PAWS before you decide? If so, plan to attend one of our 2010 New Volunteer Open Houses on January 10, March 7, May 2, July 5, September 5, or November 7. All Open Houses begin at 4:00 pm.

:: Create A Logo Contest!
This contest is open to children and young adults ages 17 and under. All you need to do is create a logo for the 2010 PAWS Pet Extravaganza on 8.5" x 11" white (high-quality) paper. The winning logo will be printed on the 2010 PAWS Pet Extravaganza t-shirts! The theme is "Find Your Inner Hero; Adopt a Shelter Pet". Be sure to include the words "PAWS Pet Extravaganza" and submit it to the front desk at the PAWS Adoption & Education Center. Contest ends on July 5th. The winner will receive a 2010 PAWS Pet Extravaganza t-shirt with the logo on the front and a $50 gift card to Nittany Mall.

PAWS gives you the opportunity to sponsor a cat or a dog in need. Through the online credit card and cash transfer capabilities of PayPal, you can sponsor one or more animals on our adoption list for a month.

- Saturdays and Sundays 11-4 (all dogs who live at the center)
- Sundays 12-2pm (most dogs come who live in foster homes)
- Mondays 5:30-7pm (all dogs who live at the center)
- 1st Wednesday of month at Petco in State College (a few selected PAWS dogs)
